German Industrial Metal

Following on from the English Hard Rock version, this pushes the agressive masculinity even further. While there may be remenents of the original contradiction, this lets the text mutate while keeping its teeth.

Industrial metal is a fusion genre combining heavy metal riffs with industrial music's abrasive electronic textures, mechanical rhythms, and distorted vocals, popular since the early 1990s.

While other song versions draw on melancholy, passion, tragedy or irony, this stomps like steel on concrete, making even concessions sound like demands.

I set this version in an industrial metal style to strip the lyrics of softness and expose their underlying tension.
